Our VariQuest Design Software is only available to VariQuest customers, meaning you’re part of your own elite and private ecosystem made up of the rockstar educators at your institution. There is no limit to the number of users for a machine, but you can also approve and deny access – meaning your data privacy and limitations are being taken seriously, without limiting your possibilities.

Ink usage varies based on many variables: type and amount of content on each poster, output size, paper type, print speed, and printer maintenance. That said, Varitronics conducted tests to estimate the average cost per poster using Perfecta Heavyweight Coated paper. Please contact your authorized VariQuest representative for additional information.

There are multiple printing speeds available for your selections, and ink usage, poster-size, and quality preferences will determine the speed of output. Because of our user-friendly and integrated design software ecosystem – most output goes from design to reality in a matter of minutes – which is much quicker and more efficient than any outsourcing or use of multiple platforms for your intended creative result!

The Perfecta poster printer offers near edge-to-edge printing, meaning you can print large posters with minimal margins and maximum usable space.

Margins are approximately:

• Roll media: 0.2″ on all sides
• Sheet media: 0.2″ (top/left/right) and 0.67″ (bottom)

Perfecta customers have a wide variety of output sizes to choose from when creating posters with VariQuest Software. Banner length will vary depending on the template used or the original design.

For schools using the Perfecta Q36, even larger posters and banners can be created, with options up to 36 inches wide.

Standard poster size options include:

• Standard Posters: 24″ x 34″
• Medium Posters: Longest edge scaled to 24 inches
• Custom Banners: 24″ wide with variable length based on your design

Additional output sizes for smaller materials:

• Tabloid (13″ x 19″)
• Letter (8.5″ x 11″)

Yes, the Perfecta printers can produce large, high-quality photo prints. For best results, images should be at least 150 DPI and sized for large-format printing (typically 2400 x 3600 pixels or greater).
